Why is my disposable vape pen dead but still has juice?
We have encountered this question numerous times on the web, and it’s high time we respond.
To put it bluntly, your vape pen has probably reached the end of its life. It is the name “disposable, “which means it’s designed to be used once and discarded. Usually, this happens when the battery runs out and not the vape juice.
And there’s a reason for this: to prevent users from getting “burnt hits”. A burnt hit occurs when your vape heats up but there’s not enough e-liquid to burn, leading to an unpleasant vapor taste.
But if you believe you haven’t had the chance to enjoy your vape pen fully, you might be onto something. Culprits like manufacturing defects and clogged systems can cause your gadget to die prematurely.

Why Did My Disposable Vape Die Before Emptying?
1. Battery Issues
A vape features three key components – that’s the tank, mouthpiece, and power source. The battery is the driving force behind the whole vaping experience. It’s the engine that drives the heating element which converts the e-liquid in the tank into vapor.
If it’s damaged or faulty, you are looking at poor vapor production and overall vaping experience. It may even lead to the total failure of your go-to pen.

3. Airflow Sensor Problems

First of all, the thing that prevents your device from giving its best performance is the Airflow sensor. It might be a tiny component, but when it’s not working properly, it can ruin your vaping efforts.
An airflow sensor links to the vape’s battery, and its primary work is to generate pressure that activates the heating element when you vape.
Your pen might not vaporize the e-liquids in case dirt or smoke oil clogs the air home of the sensor.
An easy way to test if the air sensor is working is to place your finger against the inlet vents and inhale. The increased airflow will break the clog and get the sensor to function.
We’ve also seen some experts encouraging vapers to run an extended paper clip down the air to disintegrate the blockage.
While we’re still on airflow, air pockets can develop inside the vape to prevent the e-liquid or CBD oil from flowing via the coin assembly. A simple solution here is to tap the pen on your hand gently to release the air bubbles.
4. You Bought a Defective Product

Defective and low-quality vapes generally never last a very long time, as they are prone to damage and failure. Before you make any purchase, please confirm if every component of the vape pen is working.

5. How Long Do Disposable Vapes Last?
Typically, disposable vape pens have an average lifespan of 200 to 1500 puffs. But these values are not absolute: they vary based on some factors.
Top on our list, we have “battery life”. Pens with a high battery capacity can deliver more puffs and for longer. Even better, if the battery is rechargeable, you can juice it up and continue enjoying your vape until the liquid is depleted.
Next up, we have “frequency of use”. You can’t expect your disposable vape pen to last longer if you’re a chain vaper. The more puffs you chase, the faster your vape pen gets depleted. Novice vapers usually enjoy a longer lifespan for their devices since they are still getting used to vaping.
As already mentioned, there’s the aspect of environmental conditions. Temperature variations may considerably influence the lifespan of your hardware.
Take extreme temperatures (cold and hot) for example, they can reduce the battery’s capacity to hold a charge or cause it to drain quickly. If your pen is using a lithium battery, it might even stop working. So, you are left with a device with enough e-juice but it can’t hit.
We should also talk about e-liquids, as those with poor composition often degrade or burn out faster compared to quality samples. So, gadgets with this vape juice obviously won’t have a longer lifespan.
